Red 04:13
Our city is yearning All the lights burn bright Beautiful singing Fills the room each night Always from you In her eyes, I see my future fall in right with hers In her voice, I hear my lover call me from the dead Oh, Red You fend off the process You're the one who can Keep me beside you So we're not alone Always with you In her eyes, I see my future fall in right with hers In her voice, I hear my lover call me from the dead Please vocalize Endless surprises Blue skies I see Come to the country with me I see you ahead Oh, Red Oh, Red

about

Since I made three versions of this song, I decided to make it a single.
I wrote this for composition lessons at school, since my teacher, Patrick Conlon, liked how I made another song based on a video game (which you can find on my SoundCloud; it's called "Exit").
One of my favorite games ever is this indie game called Transistor. It has a beautiful story. It has an even more awesome soundtrack by Darren Korb. To keep it short, also SPOILERS FOR TRANSISTOR, the character you play as, Red, was a singer who lost her voice, and her boyfriend is the sword, the Transistor, that she uses throughout the game. (It's hard to explain video games.) She has songs that play throughout the game, but it's really the sword that speaks the entire game, and yet he never sings, even though they had been together before he was inside the sword, or so the game seems to indicate.
I wrote this song as a love song from him to Red. I also wrote it as though it could be in the game.
There are three versions: a full song version, a hummed version, and an instrumental version.
This one's for you, Darren Korb, and for all of the amazing people at Supergiant Games that made such a beautiful game.
